The 3rd anniversary of Lugano’s Plan ₿ Conference in Switzerland was an incredible experience, filled with vibrant energy, a fantastic lineup of speakers, and a large crowd of enthusiastic and like-minded attendees. Both of our co-founders took the stage, proudly representing Goodlife El Salvador and sharing insights with the global Bitcoin community on the new trends in El Salvador. The event truly highlighted the momentum of innovations in BTC and politics in Europe.

1. Unvieled statue of Satoshi Nakamoto

Valentina Picozzi unveiled a statue dedicated to Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin. Created to celebrate the ideals of decentralization and financial autonomy, this unique statue gradually fades depending on the viewer’s angle—a symbolic nod to Nakamoto’s retreat from public view after Bitcoin’s launch. The illusion of disappearance reflects Nakamoto’s anonymity and lasting impact on digital finance, as intended by Picozzi’s design. The statue’s unveiling is part of the Plan ₿ Initiative (a partnership between the city of Lugano and Tether), underscores Lugano’s ambition to become a hub for blockchain and digital assets.

2. Cherito as event’s official coffee supplier

Cherito Coffee, a speciality Salvadoran coffee brand, proudly represented El Salvador at the conference. Serving as its official coffee, Cherito shared sustainably sourced beans from regions like Apaneca with attendees. This aligns with their goal to showcase Salvadoran coffee internationally, especially to a Bitcoin-focused audience.

With offerings like the “Satoshi blend” crafted for crypto enthusiasts, Cherito Coffee highlights El Salvador’s commitment to innovation and financial inclusivity, with th unique stage to elevate the quality and tradition of Salvadoran coffee.

3. A panel about the rise and importance of grassroots projects worldwide

Co-founder Roman Martinez had the opportunity to join Joe Nakamoto, Mike Peterson (Bitcoin Beach), and Hermann Vivier (Bitcoin Ekasi) in a panel highlighting the rise of BTC circular economies. They emphasized the importance of spending sats within these ecosystems to support local communities and drive the hyper-adoption of Bitcoin. This approach serves as a model of financial independence and economic prosperity, showcasing Bitcoin’s role in empowering communities worldwide.

4. Goodlife El Salvador’s Keynote on Real Estate + Bitcoin

Co-founder Lexi Cross presented on the Peer-2-Peer stage. Discussing the new trends in El Salvador’s real estate market. She highlighted the unique role of BTC transactions in enabling seamless, permissionless, and fast exchanges between buyers and sellers, thereby enhancing trust. The presentation drew a large audience for many individuals interested in relocation, a “Plan B,” or additional investments powered by the upcoming BTC bull market. Creating more El Salvador curiosity among attendences with many scanning the QR code for our real estate discovery trips.

5. The grand finale: The BTC drone show

Plan ₿ Forum featured a remarkable drone show with more than 400 drones from Cyberdrone that created Bitcoin-inspired formations, lighting up the night sky above Lake Lugano. The display was designed to symbolize Bitcoin’s impact and cultural significance, showcasing the city’s commitment to both technological and cultural advancement of the Bitcoin space. The show was supported with fragments of important speeches and quotes that have great signicance in the crypto space, Such as from Micheal Sailor and Jack Maller.
